Third project of Crystal Lagoons in Texas advancing quickly
12/27/2019A 12-acre manmade lagoon with Crystal Lagoons® technology will be the center piece of Lago Mar, the third real estate project of the company in the state of Texas. The complex, which is under construction, is developed in partnership with Land Tejas Development.
The crystalline lagoon will be especially attractive, as it will be six times as big as the lagoon at Land Tejas’ Balmoral community northeast of Houston, and will have a designated area for paid public access. Framed by white sand beaches and a tropical landscape, the lagoon will be country’s largest Crystal Lagoons amenity to the Houston area.
Lago Mar is a 70-acre resort-style compound that will include a hotel, waterfront boardwalk promenade, 250,000 square feet of restaurant and retail space as well as condos and townhomes.
“We are very excited to bring a Crystal Lagoons amenity to Lago Mar,” said Al Brende, founder of Land Tejas. “This project has amazing potential to create a totally new type of lifestyle for residents of Lago Mar and for Houston-area families looking to enjoy a fun, outdoor lifestyle.”
The Lago Mar lagoon will be up to 10 feet deep and will employ the multinational’s patented, environmentally friendly technology. The high-tech process allows lagoons to maintain its turquoise waters with 100 times fewer chemicals and 50 times less energy than a traditional pool.
Crystal Lagoons is an international innovation company, founded by scientist Fernando Fischmann, which has developed a patent-protected technology that allows the construction and maintenance of unlimited-size clear water lagoons at very low costs.
