Playa Turquesa Sales Success Turns Project Into Investment Hub

03/23/2020

Playa Turquesa, from the innovation multinational Crystal Lagoons® latest real estate project in Bolivia, has been highlighted by national and international media for being one of the most beautiful destinations in the country as well as being a hub of great interest to investors. The project expands over 200 hectares, and will be anchored by a 13-hectare crystalline lagoon.

The firm founded by biochemist Fernando Fischmann was responsible for developing the sustainable technology applied in the real estate project’s lagoon and for certifying it as the second largest in the world following Dubai, which will have the first place when operational. The U.S. firm, with headquarters in Miami, has over 600 projects distributed in more than 60 countries worldwide.

“This makes Playa Turquesa a revolutionary landmark for the country,” explains Carlos Undurraga, the development’s Business Manager, referring to the sales success it has enjoyed among the 600 families who have already invested in the project located in Santa Cruz de la Sierra.

Spanning over almost a kilometer, it has attracted national and international investors. “Families have already started building their homes, but they have also seen the value of housing increase by 100 percent since the project began. This is a sales phenomenon that occurs in all Crystal Lagoons projects, which see an extraordinary spike in surplus value,” added the executive.

This revolutionary technology also stands out due to its low water consumption, since works on a closed circuit, replacing only water that is lost through evaporation. In comparison, a 1-hectare lagoon consumes only 50% of the water required for the maintenance of a park of the same size, and a lagoon of average size consumes around 30 times less than a golf course.

“The lagoon operates with almost 100 times less chemicals than a traditional swimming pool and consumes only 2 percent of energy, which means that it requires very low maintenance. The quality of the water can be compared to mineral water,” says the Playa Turquesa executive, while adding, “this makes Santa Cruz and Bolivia a top destination of interest.”
