La Mansa: Sustainable Mixed-Use Project Moving Forward in Argentina

04/28/2020

The construction of a major mixed-use development is on course on the Atlantic Coast, on the outskirts of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Known as La Mansa, a 750-acre sustainable complex (1.5 times the size of the travel destination, Puerto Madero), it is located nearby Pinamar, a well-known seaside town. Although it does not have a coastline overlooking the sea, water is center stage: once completed, the complex will be anchored by a crystalline lagoon powered by Crystal Lagoons® technology.

The main element will be what is known today as the world’s top amenity, a lagoon with the state-of-the-art patented technology, created by the multinational innovation firm, Crystal Lagoons.

Expanding over 12 acres, its vast turquoise waters can be enjoyed by residents, creating beach life they can enjoy just steps from the home. Additionally, they will be able to practice a wide array of watersports, such as large stretches of pristine water that fully complies with the most stringent international water quality standards.

In addition to several patents belonging to the innovation company, the lagoon will solely be filled with rainwater, without affecting local resources.

Once completed, it will be surrounded by 10,000 m2 of white sand and docks, and will be divided into three main zones: public, family and youth beach.

Plans for La Mansa also include a sports sector, two five-star hotels and a public area with a shopping center. The residential area, meanwhile, will add lots, fields and apartments, all ecofriendly.
