Crystal Lagoons Milestones Highlighted by Media

The American magazine, Reader’s Digest, has created a ranking of the best travel destinations, and has included Crystal Lagoons® amenities as “record-holding attractions.”

The current world record for largest man-made crystalline lagoon is held by Citystars Sharm El Sheikh, which is powered by pioneering technology created by Crystal Lagoons. Located in Egypt’s Sinai Desert, the dream-like lagoon covers 29 acres, which is almost four acres bigger than the crystalline lagoon at San Alfonso del Mar resort in Algarrobo, Chile, which was the firm’s first lagoon. It was also the company’s first Guinness World Record, prior to Citystars Sharm El Sheikh. The Chilean amenity spans the length of 20 Olympic-sized pools.
