Crystal Lagoons State-Of-The-Art Sustainable Water Technology
04/04/2020The pure turquoise lagoons powered by Crystal Lagoons® technology, patented worldwide in over 190 countries, are renowned for their monumental size and sustainable features. The firm’s concept and technology, created by biochemist and forward thinking businessman Fernando Fischmann, catapulted the company to unicorn status, present today on all five continents.
Bringing beach life to the center of cities around the world, they are filled only once, and operate in a closed circuit, ensuring sustainable use of water. The multinational company’s pioneering lagoons can be filled with any type of water, including seawater and brackish water. The firm’s eco-friendly pioneering technology also requires up to 100 times less chemicals than conventional swimming pool or drinking water treatment technologies, and consumes only 2% of the energy needed by conventional swimming pool filtration systems. Furthermore, it has also developed a molecular film technology that, when necessary, reduces the use of fresh-water by an additional 50%.
These bodies of crystalline water, unlimited in size, also have the capacity to accumulate rainwater, so as to compensate for evaporation during dry periods. In rainy conditions, the excess water collected in the lagoons can be reutilized for different purposes.
Asides from their unique technology, making Crystal Lagoons the only company capable of creating such amenities and maintaining them in crystalline condition, they can be widely used for bathing and a wide array of water sports. Another advantage is that they also have a far more intensive use than parks, and hence guarantee a more efficient use per liter of water.
The U.S., Miami-based water innovation firm currently has over 600 projects in different stages of negotiation, design or operation, in countries such as the United States, Thailand, Bolivia, Korea and South Africa.
