South Africa President Applauds Crystal Lagoons Munyaka Development
03/09/2020The American multinational water innovation company, Crystal Lagoons™, recently announced its expansion throughout South Africa, having signed five new real estate projects, including one called Munyaka, which will bring beach life and pure turquoise lagoons to residential projects spotted around the country. The project began its construction phase and the event was presided by the nation’s president, Matamela Cyril Ramaphosa, who applauded the initiative.
Surrounded by white sand beaches and the firm’s characteristic pure turquoise lagoons, the projects will be in Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town and Durban. These immense bodies of water provide a tropical paradise to be enjoyed just steps away from home throughout the year, promoting a healthy lifestyle through outdoor life and water sports.
Once completed, Munyaka will be Crystal Lagoons largest crystalline lagoon in the southern hemisphere, covering an area of approximately seven rugby fields. During the event, president Matamela Cyril Ramaphosa praised the project: “When I did my state of the nation address, I said I dreamt of a city like this one. Steve Brookes (founder and CEO at Balwin Properties) told me my dream would come true. Now I can see this, I am very proud as this project, it’s giving life to the South Africa we want, one that develops its economy through infrastructure. Now I see this project today, this is how you build great communities”.
It is set to be a crown jewel in Balwin’s development portfolio and will offer an exceptional product to those looking to buy property in the country,” said Steve Brookes, founder and CEO of Balwin Properties.
This will be the multinational’s sixth in the country, since it inaugurated one in 2018. Known as The Blyde, the residential project has seen unprecedented commercial success, receiving various awards from the real estate industry.
